It’s time again for the Westport Roots Festival! Join a ton of awesome bands at 6 different venues for one crazy Saturday stuffed full of amazing music. Monday, May 18th

Other Lives with Riothorse Royale at Record Bar 9:30 PM $15

If you saw the incredible Radiohead show at the Sprint Center a few years ago, you may remember the impressive opening band Other Lives. The Oklahoma group mixes everything from indie rock and post-rock to ambient and experimental music. Naturally, they made quite a showing opening for Radiohead. Their show at the Record Bar will be even better!

Already making a name for themselves on the touring circuit, Merchandise are now heading out on their own headlining tour. Their blend of Joy Division-esque post-punk mixed with a bit of shoegaze and pop elements are some of the catchiest tunes you’ll hear all year!The Riot Room will be jumping on Tuesday night.

Local H needs no introduction, but I’ll try to give ‘em one anyway. One of those bands that exploded with the alternative/grunge scene in the 90s that never really seemed to go away, Local H have earned the title of a legendary band from their incessant touring and quality output. Everyone’s heard “that song” but the truth is, Local H has so much more to offer.
