Live Tonight: Week of June 9 – June 15: Pianos, Punk and Pop

This week, the Kansas City area has a little bit of everything for fans of all different kinds of music. Highlighting the packed week is a two-night stay at the Kauffman Center by pianist and songwriter aficionado Ben Folds. Mr. Folds is almost like a local celebrity at this point – he hasn’t skipped the Kansas City area on a tour in quite some time.  At every show, he makes sure to give a shout out to The Bottleneck in Lawrence, which is where he said his band (Ben Folds Five) first found success outside of their home town. Good luck on getting tickets for either of the nights, though – they’re sold out.
