Heavy Thanksgiving: Pilgrims, Indians, Turkey and Shopping

The Thanksgiving holiday might be the most underrepresented day in all of music history. Of course there are the prerequisite Christmas albums and of course each genre has a slew of amazing Halloween-themed songs, but what about America’s most gluttonous day of the year?

Heavy music once again saves the day: here’s some songs to cover just about every aspect of Turkey Day – whether it’s giving thanks, eating a ton of food, learning about the history of the holiday, or spending way too much money the day after.

Twisted Sister – Stay Hungry

Bad Brains – Give Thanks and Praises

Iron Maiden – Run To The Hills

Anthrax – Indians

Weedeater – Turkey Warlock

Blood Freak – Gobble Up Your Guts

Megadeth – Good Mourning/Black Friday

Have a happy and heavy holiday!
